Muravlenkovskneft sets a new drilling record

29 June 2011

The well construction section of Muravlenkovskneft, a branch of OJSC Gazpromneft Noyabrskneftegaz, set a record for drilling speed during work on well No. 1987 of cluster No. 40С at the Sugmutskoye field. A 1158 m well section was drilled in a single day. The previous daily drilling record of 1125 m was also set at the Sugmutskoye field. The information was provided to Sever-Press new agency by the public relations department of Muravlenkovskneft.

Work on the well is being carried out by  ERIELL NEFTEGAZSERVICE LLC, which is part of ERIELL Group. The record rate of penetration through rock formations was made possible by close cooperation between well construction supervisors and service contractors, as well as the use of advanced equipment. Average daily drilling per crew at Muravlenkovskneft is 350-400 m. The company uses modern drilling technologies and equipment, which are selected individually for each well depending on goals and tasks. Intensive production drilling is now being carried out at the Vyngayakhinskoye, Sugmutskoye and Ety-Purovskoye fields. Drilling at the Umseiskoye and Kraineye fields is scheduled to begin in the third quarter of this year.
